Virtual Bake Sale

It’s a Virtual Bake Sale!

Flaky Bakers is excited to participate in #bakersagainstracism Virtual Bake Sales!

We bake, you buy, we donate!

The mission of this bake sale is to aid financially “…an end to racism, fascism, and the unjust treatment of Black people in America.”

Becky’s Virtual Bake Sale

Becky will be selling Apple Pie Drop Biscuits with Melted Ice Cream Glaze for pick up at a designated time and place in Chicago.  There are four biscuits per order at $5; a dozen will be $15.  This is a prepaid purchase through Venmo or PayPal only; no cash will be accepted and biscuits are baked to order meaning, unfortunately, biscuits will not be available for purchase at the pick-up time and location.

Indeed, this recipe is not on the blog yet but it is coming — it will be posted the day of order pick up.  As a bonus, you’ll receive a print out of the recipe with your purchase as well, cool!  This biscuit recipe is a collaboration between Becky and Lance of Biscuit & Counter and lemme tell ya, you do not want to miss out on this goodness.  Like at all.  Apple pie meets buttery fluffy drop biscuit meets glaze of ice cream — I mean, come on!

100% of the proceeds from the sale of Becky’s baked goods will be donated to Polished Pebbles, a mentoring group that empowers young girls of color to beat the odds and provide them solid lifetime-providing opportunities.  Yes, this is a hat tip to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in her honor and a way to effect real tangible change on the direction of young girls’ lives.  Please buy lots of biscuits or donate heartily, this one really touches my heart for so many reasons.
